The COMAFFOR/JFACC exercises intratheater air mobility command and control through the Director, Air Mobility Forces (DIRMOBFOR) and Air Mobility Division (AMD) of the AOC.
The size, composition, and layout of the AMD element will vary, but its core task of integrating air mobility operations into the overall aerospace function remains constant.
